Aquabliss Update: COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

“Swim School Pools Will Not Result In Contracting Coronavirus”

Ross Gage, the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Swim Schools Association, recently released a letter in regards to continuing swimming lessons and COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

There has been no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools. Proper operation, maintenance and disinfection of pools should remove/inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.

We will release more information on why it is still safe to swim with us through our properly and well-maintained pools.

In the meantime, here are a few dot points as to what other things we are currently implementing in our classes and centre to minimise risks:

Toys: Cloth toys are being removed – plastic toys will be used as they can be sterilised by the chlorine in the water

Lost Property: No lost property will be kept unless marked as a valuable item

Self Check-In: Self-check-in using our iPads will no longer be available. Customers will need to check-in at reception.

Shower Before Entering the Pool: We are encouraging swimmers and teachers to shower before and after lessons to ensure good hygiene practice

Hand Sanitiser: This will be at all centres for customers and staff to use
