State Open Report

A good overall meet by the entire team as we took an early season opportunity to compare our fitness and skill to others around the state as well as some visitors beyond.

The meet was quite pleasing with Aquabliss Performance picking up 4 Gold, 1 Silver & 1 Bronze medal. The medals came from strong swims by James Stacey (2 G, 1 S), Daniel Arnamnart (2 G) & Jessica O'Brien (1 B). We also saw plenty of personal best swims and some great skills displayed or reinforced, showing how important the little things really are in racing.

It's only a short season but there is plenty to be learned. Remember Short Course is all about skills and confidence. Skills are acquired through correct repetition and confidence comes from session attendance and knowing that you have already done the hard work.

Finally I will leave you with something I saw (and liked) the other day:

""If you are interested you will do what is convenient, however if you are committed you will do what is necessary"

See you soon, happy training...
