SMNE Report - Lane Cove Swimming Club
Congratulations to everyone (50 in total) that took part in the SMNE District Championships held over the weekend of the 14th and 15th of May at SOPAC.
I’m pleased to announce that Lane Cove finished second (behind a 90 swimmer strong Carlile Team), so first ‘Northern Suburbs’ in the point score. As far as I’m aware in recent history, the Club has only managed 3rd or 4th at best, so that’s a fantastic result only 12 months into the next stage of the Club's progression. I was extremely impressed with the way in which everyone stepped up and raced, with 'a thousand' PBs over the two days of competition.
I'd like to thank all the parents that came along and helped as runners, timekeepers, etc. It's an important part of making the day run smoothly. A special thanks to the fantastic coaching staff for their time and effort (not just on the weekend) in achieving this result.
